Description
This website provides information on the use of calcium D-glucarate capsules to help the body remove toxins, especially abnormally high levels of steroid hormones such as estrogens and testosterone. D-glucaric acid has been shown to inhibit this process, i.e. it acts by inhibiting the enzyme beta-glucuronidase which deconjugates (breaks bonds between) the toxins, hormones and carrier molecules. In a similar manner, other carcinogenic toxins in the blood are also removed. The end result is that estrogen and other toxins, bound to glucuronic acid for excretion, remain bound and are therefore excreted thereby reducing the body load.
